WHY IS THERE A GAP TO SEE YOUR GP?

Further rise in cost of providing health care are causing GP and medical practices difficulty to maintain quality time and care for patients. GPs has had to limit their patient’s consult time to less than 6 minutes and deal 1 issue only each consult so they can see at least 8-10 patients an hour. This means GPs will burn out and patients with multiple issues will have to take more time off to see their GPs. Appointments waiting time will worsen, Patients will have long wait at waiting room to see their GP.

Your GP believe that they simply can’t continue discounting high quality health care. Your GP refuse to be a “one issue only out u go” kind of doctor. Your GP want to listen to you, give you time and help you in their health journey. As patients are human with feelings, you GP refuse to treat you like numbers!

This is why some of your GPs are forced to move away from bulk billing to be more sustainable as they cannot continue discounting the quality they are providing.

You can help the General Practice industry by talking to your local MP, with hope Medicare improves rebates for your healthcare.

Thank you to our lovely patients for understanding and supporting us!
